The Outlander

''Outlander" is an audiovisual performance that is a complex and multifaceted work

Four artists are trying to draw the audience's attention to the illusory nature of a stranger in a world where borders and differences continue to create conflicts and barriers between people.

The concept of the artwork is based on the idea of combining the voices of different people speaking different languages into a merged sound composition. This symbolizes the desire to create a united humane society where differences do not cause disunity, but, on the contrary, enrich our understanding of the structure of the world.

Facelessness and silence are an image, an element, a unit of general collective balance, where the true essence of a person is not determined by his/her appearance or language program.

The sound manifesto was recorded in different countries by native speakers as well as by migrants. The words chosen specifically for the project represent universal values that bind us all together.

Language polyphony is a recording of 4 tracks on 4 media with which performers move. With the help of loudspeakers, the effect of a dialogue between countries is created at the moment of movement of a "mute" person. The parlances are accompanied by the revised anthem "The Internationale" - this is the international alphabet, the collective memory of resistance through unification. Unification of new times.

''Outlander" appeals to viewers to think about tolerance and the need for communication. In a challenging time overloaded with information, we need simple, understandable words like a sip of clean water, and maybe it sounds banal, but humanity must remember humanity.
